Rogue Invitational Schedule Day 1: Saturday, May 18

8:30 AM – Gates Open: Outdoor Events

9:40 AM – Opening Ceremony

10:00 AM – Event 1: GoRuck

The first event of the Rogue Invitational schedule is called “GoRuck”, named after GoRuck weighted backpacks. You can check out their 5.11 Tactical competitors here. It involves a mile-long course with a 30-lb backpack for men and a 20-lb backpack for women. Athletes will complete three rope climbs, followed by a mile run. They will then complete a sandbag-to-shelf event, another mile run, then an activity that is being called “Bag Drag”.

12:15 PM – Event 2: The Mule

“The Mule” at the Rogue Invitational will be a couplet, featuring deadlifts and burpee pull-ups. With sets of 21, 15, and 9, athletes will complete deadlifts at 315-lbs for men and 225-lbs for women. They will follow each set of deadlifts with burpees to a pull-up.

2:45 PM – Rogue Record Breakers

2:45 PM – Indoor Venue Opens

Festivities will move indoors to the Rogue headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

4:00 PM – Event 3: Chipper

The first inside event of the Rogue Invitational schedule will be a chipper. It will involve athletes completing: a 100-calorie row, followed by 80 wall balls at 20-lbs for men and 14-lbs for women. Athletes will then perform 60 glute-ham destroyer (GHD) sit-ups and 40 box jump-overs. Box jumps will be a 24-inch box for men and a 20-inch box for women. Finally, athletes will complete a 96-foot overhead walking lunge with double kettlebells. Kettlebell weights will be 1.5 Pood (53-lbs) for men and 1 Pood (35-lbs) for women.

This twist on the classic CrossFit benchmark Amanda workout adds two additional rounds. Athletes will complete 9, 7, 5, 3, 1 rounds for time of:

  • Ring Muscle-Ups
  • Squat Snatch at 135-lbs for men and 95-lbs for women

Rogue Invitational Schedule Day 2: Sunday, May 19

9:15 AM – Concept2 Biathlon

The Rogue Invitational Concept2 Biathlon will be the first sanctioned CrossFit event to feature shooting. Athletes will complete three rounds of 40 calories on the Concept2 SkiErg, alternating with three rounds of shooting. There will be a kettlebell thruster and run penalty for each missed shot, per round. Women will complete 30 calories on the SkiErg.

The Rogue Invitational Cyclone event will feature a 200-meter Cyclone bag shuttle run, sandwiched between two 40-calorie bike rides. Cyclone bags will be 150-lbs for men and 100-lbs for women.

3:30 PM – Event 7: Snatch and Press

The seventh individual event of the Rogue Invitational will be called “Snatch and Press”. Athletes will complete three rounds of 20 dumbbell snatches and nine parallette handstand push-ups. Men will use 100-lb dumbbells and four-inch parallettes. Women will use 70-lbs dumbbells and two-inch parallettes.

5:00 PM – Event 8: Squat Clean Ladder

The final event at the Rogue Invitational will be a squat clean ladder. Starting at ten reps and 185-lbs for men (125-lbs for women), athletes will drop two reps and add weight each round.

  • First Round: 10 Squat Cleans (185 lbs Men/125 lbs Women)
  • Second Round: 8 Squat Cleans (225 lbs Men/145 lbs Women)
  • Third Round: 6 Squat Cleans (255 lbs Men/165 lbs Women)
  • Fourth Round: 4 Squat Cleans (285 lbs Men/185 lbs Women)
  • Fifth Round: 2 Squat Cleans (305 lbs Men/205 lbs Women)
